We are delighted to welcome you to Peak Dental Care, the family-owned practice of Dr Victor Hanna and Dr Philip Hanna. Our mission is to become your faithful partner in your quest for a healthy and beautiful smile.

We live by the values that promote preventative dental care in all our treatment recommendations. Through honesty and integrity, we are devoted to patient collaboration so that you remain in the driver’s seat for your oral health care decisions. We back this up with the latest evidence-based practices supported by modern dental technology. Your safety and comfort are a high priority at Peak Dental Care.

We have provided biographies below to help you become acquainted with our team. We appreciate each of our existing patients and welcome new patients to our upgraded location.

Dr Victor Hanna, DMD, B. Pharm

Dentist (Owner)

Dr Victor Hanna earned his Bachelor of Pharmacy with First Class Honours before completing his Doctor of Dental Medicine at the University of Sydney. This training informs his holistic understanding of medicine, which allows him to treat patients with complex medical conditions.

Starting his career in the public system at Newcastle Oral Health clinics and Westmead Hospital, Dr Victor worked in general, paediatric and special care dentistry as well as in emergency care. While honing his skills in several Sydney private practices, he continued to serve through volunteering trips to Cambodia and Vanuatu, which have broadened his dental horizons.

With a passion for educating patients about their oral care, Dr Victor believes in empowering people to influence their overall well-being through excellent dental health. In addition, his goal is to give his patients the confidence to keep smiling.

Dr Victor enjoys all aspects of dentistry, especially restorative and cosmetic dentistry, root canal therapy, and surgical procedures. He also has a particular interest in orthodontics and fixed prosthodontics. Victor regularly attends dental conferences and keeps himself updated with the latest techniques and technology. Dr Nova Hossain

Associate Dentist

Dr Nova Hossain first started her dental journey while working at a private practice in Burwood as an Oral Health Therapist in 2016. It was here that she discovered her love for teeth and

was inspired to pursue a career in dentistry. Dr Nova graduated from the University of Sydney in 2021 with a Doctor of Dental Medicine and received multiple academic merit scholarships including the BOH (University of Sydney Merit Scholarship) and the DMD (H J V Cusack Memorial Prize) along the way.

Since graduating, Dr Nova has continued to work in private practice as a friendly and compassionate associate dentist. She brings an easy-going, cheerful nature to the practice, and you’ll always find her with a happy smile on her face. Dr Nova loves creating relationships with her patients and prides herself on providing a unique and positive experience to all patients while under her care, especially children! Her bubbly personality has even been known to put patients with dental anxiety at ease while in the dental chair.

Dr Philip Hanna, DMD

Dentist

Dr Philip graduated from the University of Sydney and has subsequently worked in private practice in both Newcastle and Sydney. Dr Philip has over 35 years of dental experience and especially enjoys oral surgery procedures, restorative work and denture construction.

Reflecting his family's values towards service, Dr Philip has volunteered in Syria and Lebanon by providing dental services in refugee camps and, most recently, in South Sudan.

When he isn't working in the clinic, Dr Philip enjoys travelling, cooking and spending time with his grandchildren.

Dr Louise Fakhr

Dentist

Dr. Louise completed a Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) at the University of Sydney. Prior to working as a dentist, she completed a Bachelor of Pharmacy and worked as a pharmacist for 5 years. Dr. Louise has worked in both public and private dental clinics during her career.

She has volunteered her dental services both in Vanuatu and Philippines in her early years as a dentist. Dr Louise enjoys working with patients of all ages and has a calming nature which makes dental experiences less stressful. She is committed to continued education to further develop her dentistry skills and is competent in all areas of general dentistry. Dr Louise has a special interest in restorative work, fixed prosthodontics and oral surgery.

Outside of work she enjoys spending time exploring Sydney with her family, jogging and reading.
